One Perfect Day - In Conjunction With The Mayor's Wellness Campaign & National Nutrition Month

Author to Offer Free Presentation on March 10

Anthony E. Baucom, the fitness director and trainer at The GYM of Englewood, New Jersey, and author of the book One Perfect Day: Knowing Nutrition Like the Back of Your Hand, will present a free program at Noon on March 10 at The GYM of Englewood.

Baucom will examine the science behind the body’s relationship with carbohydrates and fats as he introduces the One Perfect Day nutrition method, consisting of an optimal fitness design and data-tracking program that promotes well being.

One Perfect Day is a simple educational nutrition regimen that helps individuals become their own nutritionists by learning about nutrition concepts, devising a plan and maintaining the program for success. The approach is simple but powerful: it all starts with knowing what a good plan is, and why it should be followed. Section one of the book teaches the basics of how the body uses different nutrients. The second section contains a simple, proven method for creating an individual meal plan, which is as easy as following the step-by-step instructions and eating any type of food (or adhering to the sample meals provided).

After sticking to these foods for the first two weeks, known as “limiting variety to gain control,” Baucom then recommends introducing new food types into the plan, a strategy based on a formula for pairing foods properly to meet the body’s needs and optimize health. The end results include loss of fat, increase in muscle tone and a boost in energy.

“Your health is an accumulation of all of the small decisions that you make from the moment you open your eyes in the morning, until the moment you fall asleep,” said Baucom. “This program will give you tools you need to deal with real life scenarios. You will learn how to integrate all of the foods you love into your lifestyle as you get results and grow your concrete foundation of knowledge and awareness.”

Baucom is the Fitness Director and Nutritionist at THE GYM of Englewood, NJ, the premiere five star health club in the New York City area. In addition to being the author of One Perfect Day, he is an experienced course instructor and public speaker. His journey has impacted the health and awareness of thousands of people. Starting in San Jose, California he traveled state by state across the country to New York City teaching his system and changing lives. He continues to serve the community daily, client-by-client, teaching classes and reaching with his message of “health through education, not diet.”

National Nutrition Month is a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored annually by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The campaign is designed to focus attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
