Another Bone Marrow Drive Being Held For Fort Lee Girl, 12

Briana Lopez has been fighting leukemia since last January.

FORT LEE, N.J. — Another bone marrow drive will be held for a borough 12-year-old girl battling leukemia.

Briana Lopez has been battling acute myeloid leukemia since January 2016. She spent eight months in the hospital, received intensive chemotherapy and went through one bone marrow transplant already.

She was declared to be in remission, but the cancer returned last November and needs a second transplant to survive. Bone marrow drives were previously held for her, but they have not helped her find a matching donor.
