Hold Open Auditions for Verismo Opera Chorus
Artistic Director/Met Opera luminary Lucine Amara announces open auditions
for male/female vocalists (professional, amateur, retired) to sing in the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera's Verismo Opera Chorus.
Audition Dates: September 11, 18, 25 at 7 p.m.
Choristers will sing in full costume on stage under Chorus Director Mara
Waldman with a live orchestra conducted by Maestro Anthony Morss in
Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, Giacomo Puccini’s Suor
Angelica at the Bergen
Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ, Oct. 20, 3:00 p.m. Male singers, representing all vocal ranges and ages, are especially needed. Singers will
develop new language skills, receive vocal training, improve musicianship.
Bring 1-2 songs to perform. Sight-reading a plus, but not necessary. No
prior stage experienced required. Accompanist provided. Download an
