Verismo Opera to Hold Open Auditions for Verismo Opera Chorus
Artistic Director/Met Opera luminary Lucine Amara announces open auditions for male/female vocalists (professional, amateur, retired) to sing in the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera's Verismo Opera Chorus. Male singers, representing all vocal ranges and ages, are especially needed.
Audition Dates: September 11, 18, 25 at 7 p.m.
Choristers will sing in full costume on stage under Chorus Director Mara Waldman with a live orchestra conducted by Maestro Anthony Morss in Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, Giacomo Puccini’s Suor Angelica at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ, Oct. 20, 3:00 p.m.
Singers will develop new language skills, receive voice training, improve musicianship.
