Cops: Three-Month Investigation Leads To Fort Lee Drug Bust

Police said that three suspects were arrested with $56,000 worth of the street drug "Molly."

Three suspects were arrested on drug charges at the conclusion of what police say was a three-month long investigation.

Law enforcement confiscated about $40,000 of ethylone after executing a search warrant at 1512 Palisade Apartment 9A in Fort Lee. Ethylone is used to make the street drug “Molly,” according to a Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Press Release.

$100,000 in cash was also found at the apartment, police said.

Police seized another $16,000 worth of Molly after executing a related search warrant at 6311 City Place in Edgewater, the release states.

The Prosecutor’s Office said that several bags of drugs had been thrown out of the apartment’s window into the Hudson River, where they were later recovered.

The suspects arrested in Fort Lee were Alejandra Arbelaez, 26, and Angel Tejada, 33. Fernando Bautista, 31, was arrested at the Edgewater location, the release states.
