Fort Lee Library Presents: Alexander Vengerov (clarinet) and Liam Roumila (Alto Saxophone)
Alexander Vengerov comes from a long line of musicians: his grandmother was an accomplished violinist and his father was a brilliant clarinetist. Mr. Vengerov studied both clarinet and saxophone at the world-renowned St. Petersburg State Conservatory while simultaneously working at the highly acclaimed Mariinsky Orchestra. Once offered the position in the “President’s Own Military Band”, Mr. Vengerov continues his passion for music by teaching children the clarinet.
Program will include K.M. Von Weber, Benny Goodman, Antonin Dvorak, Sidney Bechet, and Irving Berlin.
