Organized by FreeWalkers.org, this is a one-day 30-mile walk along the Hudson bordering NYC and NJ. The official start is at the PATH station at Exchange Place, Jersey City where the walk begins north along a nearly continuous Hudson River Waterfront Walkway on the NJ side to the George Washington Bridge. Walking over the bridge we connect to the Hudson River Greenway trail heading south to the World Trade Center PATH station connecting back to Exchange Place.
- DETOURS: The walk will include optional detours thru Burdett's Landing in Edgewater, the Little Red Lighthouse. and the famous High Line elevated walkway below 30th Street.
- START/STOP: There are also, optional places to start and finish such as in Fort Lee Historic Park near GWB. Map out your own walk, take a train, ferry or bus to/from many points along the way.
The walk is FREE and open to everyone. We support trail associations and pedestrianism. Assistance will be provided by the Hudson River Walkway Conservancy. Sponsors are welcome.
