Fort Lee Historic Jitney tour - Coytesville NJ Home of the Barrymores

The Fort Lee Film Commission, The Fort Lee Historical Society and the newly formed Fort Lee Historic Preservation Commission sponsor this June 29th Historic Jitney Tour of Fort Lee. This June the tour will have a Coytesville theme to play off the current exhibit at the Fort Lee Museum "Coytesville: Home of the Barrymores." The tour will take us to the northern section of Fort Lee (Coytesville) where the American film industry was born over a century ago. There will be stops at Woodland Cemetery and historic Rambo's Saloon, recently saved from the wrecker's ball by the Fort Lee Film Commission and the Borough of Fort Lee. There will be a stop at the Fort Lee Museum as well. Tours will run from 11 AM and end at 3 PM.

Tours are free to the public but seating is limited and first come first serve. Sign ups are from 9 AM to 11 AM on the day of the event, Sunday, June 29th at the Fort Lee Film Commission table at the Fort Lee Farmer's Market in the plaza of the Jack Alter Fort Lee Community Center at 1355 Inwood Terrace. For further info contact the Fort Lee Film Commission at (201) 693-2763 or visit www.fortleefilm.org.
