Fort Lee Man Accussed Of Sexually Abusing Girl Several Times: Prosecutor

A Fort Lee man is accused of sexually abusing a juvenile multiple times, authorities said.

Leosandro P. Dilag, 40, allegedly sexually assaulted a girl multiple times; authorities learned about the alleged abuse from a family member who told the Fort Lee Police Department that the girl was the victim of multiple sexual assault by a male acquaintance, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

Authorities identified Dilag as the male acquaintance through an investigation by the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, Molinelli said.

Dilas was arrested Monday. He was charged with six counts of aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree crime, sexual assault by sexual contact, aggravated criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Leosandro was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bail. He is to have no contact with the alleged victim and must surrender his passport upon being released on bail, Molinelli said.
