FORT LEE, NJ - Several phone scams from people claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service have been reported in the borough lately, police said.

Authorities urge residents not to give out their personal information over the phone.

The IRS does not demand payments on the phone and will not call residents about tax debts owed.
