Fort Lee TD Bank Robbed Monday Afternoon, Police Say

BREAKING: The suspect fled the bank on foot, police said.

FORT LEE, N.J. — A man robbed the TD Bank on Palisade Avenue in Fort Lee Monday afternoon, police said.

Police received a report just before 4:30 p.m. that an unidentified man robbed the bank after passing a teller a note, said Capt. Patrick Kissane.

Bank employees gave police a description of the man, which was broadcast to all Fort Lee police officers. The Palisades Interstate Parkway, Weehawken and Port Authority police departments, the U.S. Postal Inspector's Office and New Jersey Transit assisted with the initial investigation, Kissane said.

The FBI and Fort Lee police are investigating the robbery, with help with the Bergen County Sheriff's Crime Scene Unit, the captain said.

The suspect remains at large; anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity, Kissane said. Photographs of the man are being distributed to law enforcement officials and the public.

It is the third bank robbery reported in Fort Lee this year.

Isaac Nesbit was charged with robbing a Bank of New Jersey branch in mid-January, just days after Andrew Dominguez was charged with robbing another Bank of New Jersey branch in the borough.
