Port Authority Police Nab Driver With Fireworks At Holland Tunnel
Driver initially stopped for having tinted windows on car, police said.

Port Authority Police sized a ”large amount” of fireworks during a traffic stop on the New Jersey side of the Holland Tunnel Wednesday, authorities said.
At 10:30 a.m., Port Authority Police stopped a 2006 green Chevrolet sedan for having tinted windows inside the Holland Tunnel toll plaza on the New Jersey side, said police spokesperson Joseph Pentangelo.
When the driver, Jerry Colon of Newark rolled down his window to speak to police officer, authorities noticed $900 worth of fireworks spread across the back seat, Pentangelo said.

Colon told police the fireworks were going to be used at a party he was planning, authorities said.
Colon was arrested and charged with possession of fireworks and received a summons for the tinted windows.
