Thanks to Tom Meyers and the Fort Lee Film Commission, Good Shepherd collected donations for the Center for Food Action during the last month of Music and Movies under the Stars. People gave us over $150, which Good Shepherd can match thanks to a grant from the Schumann Fund of New Jersey, and at least 20 bags of canned food. These gifts are especially important in the summer and early fall, when day care expenses and back to school expenses mean less money for food for many families in Bergen County. Thank you!
Good Shepherd collects both canned food and donations for Center for Food Action throughout the year. Anyone is welcome to bring donations on Sundays between 8 - 12 (why not come for worship too?!?!), or weekdays between 9am - 2pm. We will continue to match monetary gifts through the end of the year.
