Trial Date Set For Fort Lee Man Who Ran Over Girlfriend With Car
Charles Ann, 29, allegedly ran over his girlfriend Aena Hong in 2012 because she was going to end their relationship.

A judge Monday set a trial date of Dec. 1 for a Fort Lee man who is charged with repeatedly running over his girlfriend with his car, killing her, NorthJersey.com reported.
Charles Ann, 29, is accused of brutally killing his girlfriend Aena Hong because she was going to end their relationship. Ann allegedly struck Hong with his car at the intersection of Anderson Avenue and Inwood Terrance in Fort Lee in February 2012. He allegedly struck Hong, put the car in reverse, and then ran over her at least three times, authorities said when Ann was indicted.
Authorities said Ann was an naturalized U.S. citizen who had been in the country for 10 years when the incident occurred; he had his passport and a large amount of cash in his possession when he was arrested. Authorities said they believe he was planning to flee the country.

Ann is charged with murder and hindering apprehension. He is being held at the Bergen County Jail on $3 million bail; his trail is expected to take up to five weeks, NorthJersey.com reported.
