Another Blood Drive Set For Galloway Dec. 17

The American Red Cross will host a pair of blood drives in Galloway next month.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ - The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive in Galloway next month as it faces a severe blood shortage, the organization announced Monday morning.

The blood drive in Galloway will take place on Dec. 17, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Atlantic County Library branch in Galloway, 306 East Jimmie Leeds Road. Another blood drive is also set for next week in the township.

Blood and platelet donations often decline during the holidays. Regular donors are busy with holiday activities, and travel and severe winter weather may cause blood drive cancellations, but the Red Cross reminds the public that donations remain critical.
