Bites Nearby: Luscious and Sweet Gourmet Bakery

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Galloway Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Luscious and Sweet Gourmet Bakery: Located at 319 South Pitney Road in downtown Galloway, Luscious and Sweet took second place in the 2011 Gingerbread House Competition held Dec. 2.

Luscious and Sweet believes a cake is so much more than just dessert, and their creations reflect as much. With eight cake flavors, four icing flavors and eight filling flavors, Luscious and Sweet works hard to make sure their wedding cakes meet your needs.

Wedding cakes aren’t all that’s available, They have carrot cakes, cheesecakes, strawberry shortcake, classic chocolate fudge cake and various other flavors available for any casual get together.

They have nine flavors of cupcakes available daily, and three specialty flavors for each day of the week. Candy and other assorted sweets are also available.
