Bites Nearby: Smithville Village Bakery

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Galloway Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

The early bird gets the worm at the Smithville Village Bakery, located at 1 North New York Rd. right in the heart of The bakery opens its doors to serve breakfast at 7 a.m., at which time a full breakfast menu is available.

Pastries, breads, cookies, pies and cakes are all baked on site, and the breakfast menu includes omelets, cinnamon raisin French toast, fruit filled pancakes, and eggs, among other items.

Breakfast isn’t all that is served at the bakery, though, as lunch and dinner are also available. The bakery is open until 6 p.m., and take out is available.
