Coe Misses Cut at U.S. Women's Golf Championship
The golfer from Mays Landing shot 15-over-par and now begins preparation for LPGA Qualifying School.

Her first major appearance was an experience for Joanna Coe.
Coe shot a 15-over-par (80-77--157), completing her second round Saturday, missing the cut, at the 66th annual U.S. Open Women's Golf Championship at The Broadmoor (East Course) in Colorado Springs, CO.
The 21-year-old from Mays Landing and the lone New Jersey player to compete, shot a 9-over-par 80 (nine pars and nine bogeys) in her first round on Thursday and was one of only 26 of 156 golfers to complete her round due to rain and suspension of play.

Coe was supposed to start her second round at 2:41 p.m. ET on Friday, but because the remaining golfers had to complete their first round, her second round tee time was pushed back to 9:11 p.m.
Coe finished her second round Saturday afternoon with an up-and-down 6-over-par 77, highlighted by her first four birdies of the tournament on holes two, three, five and 16.

The Oakcrest High School graduate, who turns 22 on Aug. 30, participated in only her third professional career tournament.
Coe had qualified for the U.S. Open by firing a 5-over-par (78-71--149) (tied for seventh with Danah Bordner of Indianapolis) and became one of eight players from a field of 90+ to advance from 36-hole qualifying at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD, on May 23.
Coe will be in Orlando, FL, starting Wednesday, to begin preparation for stage one of the grueling LPGA Qualifying School from July 26-29 at LPGA International (Champions Course) in Daytona Beach, FL, with 150 golfers participating.
One-third of the total field, along with ties, will advance to stage two of qualifying, which takes place from Sept. 27-30 at Plantation Golf and Country Club (Pantheer and Bobcat Courses) in Venice, FL.
