ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Galloway man tried luring a 12-year-old girl into his car Thursday night in Atlantic City, police said. Gaetano Reale told the girl she was cute and asked her if she wanted a ride, according to authorities.
The incident took place at about 8:30 p.m. on the 100 north block of Delaware Avenue, police said. The mother told Officer Adrian Nunez-Santos that she and her daughter were walking her dog at the time. Her daughter walked toward a corner store alone.
A vehicle pulled up to the child, and she stopped to listen to the driver, police said. The mother yelled, and the driver immediately took off, according to authorities. Nunez-Santos got a description of the driver and his vehicle and found him more than an hour later at South Carolina and Pacific Avenues.
