Homicide Investigation For Body Found At Egg Harbor Twp. Cemetery

Authorities determined the man died from blunt-force cuts to the head and a deep wound to the neck.

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — Authorities launched a homicide investigation after finding a body Thursday in an Egg Harbor Township cemetery. A passerby found the body of Fausto Garcia at 3:02 p.m. Thursday at the Mount Calvary Cemetary, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

An autopsy determined Garcia, 38, died from blunt-force lacerations to the head and a deep incised wound to the neck. The man of death is homicide, the ACPO announced Monday.

“With so much going on in our world today, some tend to forget that there are bad people out there doing bad things," said County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner. "Although this victim was homeless, he deserved better."
