• Stockton edges Arcadia by one stroke at shootout (pressofatlanticcity.com) — In Galloway, Stockton University's women's golf team edged Arcadia by a single stroke at the Shriver's Saltwater Shootout, hosted at Blue Heron Pines. Local golfer Nataly Castro of Galloway and Absegami High School contributed to the effort as Stockton posted a season-best team score and prepares to host another tournament on October 18.
   

• Atlantic County prosecutor honors law enforcement, community partners in annual luncheon (pressofatlanticcity.com) — Galloway Township hosted Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds' second annual awards luncheon at the Smithville Inn, recognizing officers, staff and community partners for their work in public safety. Local law enforcement leaders received honors such as the Sgt. Eric D. Wise Memorial Award for Leadership, highlighting efforts to protect residents across Atlantic County.
