Hamilton Township Police, Township of Hamilton Rescue personnel, and AtlantiCare paramedics responded to a home on the 5900 block of Elmhurst Drive in Mays Landing in response to a 911 call received at 7:29 p.m. on Nov. 9, 2015.

They found Black suffering from a gunshot wound.

Black was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division, where he was later declared dead.

An autopsy determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest, and that the manner of death was homicide.

Munoz was arrested the following morning.

Further investigation led detectives to believe that Velazquez allegedly “did … agree to aid Dennis Munoz in the planning and/or commission of the murder of Michael Black.”

Velazquez lodged him in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $1 million bail, with no 10 percent option.
