However, the victims told 6 ABC that Robinson was one of four or five armed men who broke into their home and “beat and terrorized them.” The homeowner said he shot Robinson in self defense.
Pasquale’s father Tony, told the network Robinson never should’ve been let out of jail because it was “just a matter of time before something like this happened.”
He was 17 at the time of the girl's death in 2012. His younger brother Justin was 15 when he lured Pasquale to her death. He pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter and was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
In his guilty plea, Justin Robinson indicated in a signed statement he had acted alone and his older brother had no idea what was going on. Dante Robinson wasn't held responsible in Pasquale's death. Justin Robinson also said his mother and stepfather weren't home when Pasquale was killed.
Pasquale was killed in October 2012. The Clayton community launched a massive search for her when she was reported missing after leaving home to ride her bike. Her body was found in a recycling bin days later.
