$1.2M COVID-19 Caregiver Relief Program Launched In Camden County

Those applying for funding must meet certain requirements, the Camden County Commissioners said.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — A $1.2 million COVID-19 Caregiver Relief Program was established Tuesday in Camden County, the county commissioners said.

Recipients will receive $1,000 "for their hardships during this unprecedented time," according to the county commissioners.

The funds are earmarked for those who:

  • Reside in Camden County or provide caregiver services to Camden County resident
  • Produce evidence that he or she provided "at least 500 hours of hands-on health care and/or essential day-to-day support to one or more older persons or children and/or adults with intellectual, physical and developmental disabilities and brain injuries from March 1, 2020 through March 7, 2022"
  • Have a verifiable Social Security number or Taxpayer Identification Number
  • Fill out IRS Form W-9 ("Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification")

Applications for the funding are at www.camdencountycaregrant.com.

Those with questions can call 856-389-6704 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday, the county commissioners said.

Funding for Camden County's COVID-19 Caregiver Relief Program comes from the $55 million in federal funding the Board of Commissioners has made available to various "hard-hit sectors of the community" during the COVID-19 pandemic, the county commissioners said.
