March Music Madness @ Markeim

Join Markeim Arts Center in celebrating an entire month of music events and workshops!  March Madness at Markeim combines fantastic events with a fundraising endeavor to benefit our organization and the community we serve. 

MARCH MUSIC MADNESS @ MARKEIM! MMM@M - our signature event and major fundraising highlight combines an evening of cocktails and music by Johnny Miles and The Waywards.  “Johnny Miles assembled some of Philly's finest musicians to back him on his latest batch of tunes. Armed with a dynamic repertoire & contagious live energy, these experienced performers are as capable of reducing audiences to pin-drop-captivation as they are of raucously blowing the roof off the place.” “Johnny and his band ‘The Waywards’ made recent stops at The Kimmel Center, The Bethlehem Musikfest, & The Philadelphia Folk Festival to name a few, where the electric 5-piece caused quite a stir with their blazingly raucous rock-and-roll sets.   Early converts to the group include WXPN’s Helen Leicht, who started working the new album’s title track into the on-air rotation and the Philadelphia Songwriters Project, who named Miles one of their 2010 international songwriting contest winners.”  www.johnnymilesmusic.com

Scheduled for March 11, 2011 from 7:30 -11pm.  The cost of $45 per person includes amazing passed hors d'oeuvres from Treno, beer, wine and delectable desserts. Tickets will be available for purchase through our website and at Markeim Arts Center.
