Haddonfield Friends Meeting is pleased to present “Show Me the Franklins: Remembering the Ancestors, Slavery and Benjamin Franklin” on Saturday, June 11 at Lawnside School.
Written by Dr. Amanda Kemp of Franklin & Marshall College, “Show Me the Franklins” explores Benjamin Franklin’s writings on the topic of slavery as they might have been interpreted by those who lived as slaves in the founding father’s household.
The performance will combine music, dramatic vignettes, remarks by Dr. Kemp and a discussion with the audience. The cast will feature professional actors from the Theatre for Transformation, based in Lancaster, Pa.
