Haddonfield Football Team Wins Inaugural Group 2 Bowl Game
Haddonfield defeated Hillside, 17-7, in the inaugural South/Central Group 2 Bowl Game on Saturday.

HADDONFIELD, NJ - The Haddonfield Memorial High School football team made history over the weekend.
The Bulldawgs defeated Hillside, 17-7, to win in the inaugural South/Central Group 2 bowl game at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, nj.com reports. Haddonfield put the wraps on a 13-0 season while handing Hillside its only loss of the year.
Gabe Klaus put Haddonfield on the board with a 4-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, and Davis Smith returned a punt 53 yards for a score. Henry Grozier’s 35-yard field goal capped the scoring in the third quarter. Nahree Biggins connected with Shaddon Willis on a 39-yard touchdown pass for Hillside’s only score.

Haddonfield coach Frank DeLano called it a special night and the culmination of 17 years of dedication from the players and the parents.
Haddonfield reached this stage when it defeated Camden, 23-12, to capture the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 title earlier this month. Haddonfield advanced to the South Jersey final with a 28-6 win over Pleasantville. In the first round, the Bulldawgs defeated Sterling, 41-7.
