New Details Of Investigation Into 3-Year-Old's Death Released
It doesn't appear as though anyone broke into the house the night Brendan Creato disappeared.

There is no indication that the 3-year-old Haddon Township boy who was found dead near the Cooper River last week was sexually assaulted, or that anyone broke into the home on the night that he went missing, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Haddon Township Police Department said Wednesday afternoon.
The results of the autopsy remain pending, and residents should be aware that detectives will continue to be present in the Haddon Township area as the investigation continues.
Also on Wednesday, Philadelphia-based attorney Richard J. Fuschino Jr. confirmed that Brendan Creato’s father, David “D.J.” Creato, retained him as an attorney, on the advice of a friend. Fuschino said his role is “to help Creato navigate through the unfamiliar legal process.” He emphasized that D.J. Creato is not a suspect, but also gave no indication as to whether he believed his client would ultimately be charged.

Fuschino said Creato spoke to the police without him present. Fuschino has also spoken to police without his client present.

Creato’s body was found around 9 a.m. in a wooded area near Cooper River last Tuesday morning, Oct. 13, three hours after his father made a 911 call in which he said his son was missing when he woke up that morning.
The boy was staying with Creato Monday night, Oct. 12. He was last seen around 9:30 p.m. when his grandmother dropped him off at Creato’s house on the 100 block of Cooper Street, according to published reports. David Creato and Samantha Denoto are not married, but both live in Haddon Township.
“Both agencies are aware of the public’s concerns,” the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday. “We appreciate the community’s cooperation.”
