Suspect In South Jersey Teen's Slaying Remains At Large: Prosecutor

3 people have been apprehended, including 2 teens charged with murder, during the investigation, authorities said.

BRIDGETON, NJ — Four people have been charged in a homicide investigation related to the fatal shooting of a South Jersey boy, including two teens accused of murder and an adult apprehended in Missouri, authorities said. But one of the suspects remains at large as of Tuesday, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.

The investigation began after a Millville boy, 16, suffered fatal gunshot wounds June 25 in Bridgeton. Authorities haven't publicly identified the victim or the two teens charged with murder — all of whom are minors.

Two adults face non-murder charges in the case. Authorities identified the man at large as Nashaloni Harris. The 20-year-old Bridgeton resident is wanted for hindering apprehension, destruction of evidence and obstruction.

Initially, a 16-year-old was charged June 30 with several offenses, including murder and conspiracy to commit murder. On July 6, another 16-year-old was charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, destruction of evidence, hindering apprehension and obstructing the administration of law. Both remain in custody, and the state will move for continued detention.

That same day, authorities found Alavion Harris in Jefferson City, Missouri. The 20-year-old Bridgeton resident was charged with hindering apprehension and obstruction of law. She's currently incarcerated in Missouri's Cole County Jail, awaiting extradition to Cumberland County.
