The Lawnside Historical Society’s summer enrichment program will inspire young minds about the courage and resiliency of freedom seekers and those that helped them along the Underground Railroad. The camp will run from June 26 to 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
Campers will also learn about the unique history of Lawnside, New Jersey – the first Black town incorporated in the northeast.
Activities, tours and trips will engage sixth- to eighth-grade campers, based at the Peter Mott House, 26 Kings Court. The program is designed to enhance their understanding of the Underground Railroad and historic Lawnside.

Enrollment in the camp costs $25; payment is due June 19.
