Voorhees Animal Orphanage to Host 25th Annual Woofstock Festival

VOORHEES, NJ - - (August 25, 2021) Calling all groovy pets and pet lovers! The Voorhees Animal Orphanage (VAO) is getting ready to bark and roll at their 25th Annual Woofstock Festival, a dog-friendly event open to the public on Saturday, September 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Voorhees Town Center in Voorhees Township, N.J. Entry to the festival is just $2 and proceeds from Woofstock, VAO’s largest fund-raising event of the year, support medical care, pet food and supplies for the community shelter’s dogs and cats.

The fun-filled event will feature dog demonstrations, food trucks and music. Highlights include: the VAO alumni parade, pet photos, a performance from the South Philly String Band, dog demonstrations, craft, retail and pet products vendors, local veterinarian information tables, music by Red Sky and more.

“Each year, Woofstock helps raise awareness about VAO’s mission and helps us continue to provide medical care and feed and house cats and dogs until we can place them into their forever homes,” said Jennifer Bailey, marketing director, VAO. “We are thrilled to hold Woofstock live and in-person this year. Part of the joy of Woofstock is seeing so many pets enjoying the day with their loving families. We really missed everyone last year!”

This year is especially exciting to the shelter as it represents the festival’s 25th anniversary of peace, love and pets.

Founded in 1988, the Voorhees Animal Orphanage (VAO) is a nonprofit community animal shelter and 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to providing shelter, food and medical care to stray and unwanted animals, until permanent and loving homes can be found.
