• Postal Van Slams Into North Jersey Home, Official Says (patch.com) — A USPS van crashed into a house on Barbour Street in Haledon Monday morning, but fortunately no one was seriously hurt, according to Mayor Michael Johnson. Haledon police and fire crews responded, and officials say the home sustained damage but no charges have been announced yet. Neighbors may notice repair work and ongoing investigation activity around the affected property. 
• 6 Charged in Connection to String of New Jersey Smash-and-Grabs (nationaljeweler.com) — Haledon police briefly pursued a suspected getaway car tied to a violent smash‑and‑grab jewelry robbery in Wayne before it crashed nearby, helping federal investigators identify and arrest several Paterson men. The broader case links nine New Jersey jewelers to a string of robberies dating back to 2025, with six defendants now facing Hobbs Act robbery charges and potentially lengthy prison terms.
