$35K Raised For Hillsborough Grad Killed In Amwell Road Car Crash
The family of Jorge Antonio set up a GoFundMe to help raise funds for the funeral services and memorial. He had just graduated in June.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Jorge Antonio had his whole life in front of him. Having graduated from Hillsborough High School in June, his life was cut short on Oct. 20 in a fatal multi-car crash on Amwell Road.
On Oct. 20 at around 6:30 a.m., Antonio was killed in the crash that happened in the area of Marshall Road and Amwell Road. Read More: Fatal Multiple Car Crash In Hillsborough Under Investigation
The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating the crash.

Since his fatal accident, Antonio's family set up a GoFundMe to help raise funds for the funeral services and memorial.

"Any surplus collected will be donated to causes and charities that were dear to our Jorgitos heart. Such as local farmers, developing youths in engineering, and other causes that he loved," wrote Antonio's sister Angelica on the GoFundMe page. "We thank you all for all the well wishes in this trying time."

The fundraiser launched on Friday has raised more than $35,000. To donate click here.
"I'm so very sorry for your family's loss. I remember Jorgito as such as kind, polite, and sweet young man when he was one of my 6th grade students," wrote one donor.
"Jorge was a wonderful young man who always had a smile on his face. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of getting to know him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family," wrote another donor.
Funeral arrangements have since been set for Antonio. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Route 206, in Hillsborough Township.
A funeral Mass will be held Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. at Mary Mother of God, 157 S. Triangle Rd., in Hillsborough.
"My first encounter with this young man helping even at such a young age, and his brother behind him helping at the church. He continued with his giving and service throughout his years in Mary, Mother of God's HS Youth Group. What a pleasure he was and so strong in his faith," wrote a mourner on his obituary on hillsboroughfuneralhome.com.
