Attacker Arrested For Stabbing Manville Man: Police

An argument over music escalated to a fist fight and then the stabbing of a Manville man in the borough Tuesday night.

Manville, NJ -- A Manville man was stabbed last night following an argument over music, Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced Wednesday.

Zachary T. Falso, age 26, of West Main Street, Clinton Borough was arrested in connection with the stabbing and charged with Aggravated Assault, third degree and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, third degree.

Police responded to a South 3rd Street home around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22.

Police reported locating a 52-year-old Manville resident, on the porch of an acquaintance’s house who was bleeding from a stab wound in his stomach. The victim identified the attacker as Falso, police reported.

Falso and the victim reportedly got into a verbal argument over music, which escalated into a physical fight with punches being thrown. During the fight Falso stabbed the victim and fled from the scene in his car, according to reported.

The victim was transported by emergency medical technicians to an area trauma center where the he underwent emergency surgery and is expected to survive.

Manville Police Officer Richard Canuso contacted Falso on his cell phone and he agreed to come into Manville Police Headquarters. During his arrest, Falso was found to be in possession of two knives, police reported.

Falso was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
