Colonial Park Spray Park To Open Friday

After almost a year of delays the Colonial Park Spray Park in Somerset is finally opening on Friday.

SOMERSET, NJ — The wait is over. After almost a year of delays the Colonial Park Spray Park is finally opening on Friday.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 30 at the park located off Mettlers Road in Somerset. The 21-unit Children’s Spray Park is located next to the Morgan Pellowski Playground and near the Putting Course and Paddle Boat ramp.

The 6,500 square feet spray park will feature more than 30 pieces of water-spouting equipment, parking and a gazebo, according to the Franklin Reporter.

The park opening had been delayed numerous times since last year for reasons including permitting issues, contractor disputes and most recently bacteria issues. (See Related: Bacteria Delays Colonial Park Spray Park Opening)
