HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Here is what Hillsborough voters need to know before they hit the polls.

There are four candidates running for two open seats.

There are five candidates running for three, three-year open seats.

There is also one, two-year unexpired seat up for grabs. This seat is unopposed with Jane M. Staats as the lone candidate running.

When To Vote

The general election is on Tuesday, Nov. 8 with polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are multiple ways to turn in your ballot for the 2022 general election.

Where Can I Vote?

Vote In-Person On Election Day

  • Municipal Building, 379 South Branch Road (Districts 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 21, 24, 26, 28, 29, 30, 32, 34)
  • Auten Road Intermediate School, 281 Auten Road (Districts 2, 13, 14, 16, 19, 33)
  • Hillsborough High School Library-Side Entrance, 466 Raider Blvd. (Districts 4, 18, 22, 23, 31)
  • Hillsborough Middle School, 260 Triangle Road (Districts 5, 6, 7, 12, 17, 35)
  • Amsterdam Elementary School, 301 Amsterdam Road (Districts 9, 11, 20, 25, 27)

The boxes are all outside and under surveillance 24/7. They resemble a USPS Blue Mailbox, but are Red, White & Blue and display "Somerset County – Official Ballot Drop Box."
