Large Brush Fire Extinguished By Hillsborough Volunteer Firefighters
Volunteers are always needed to help out the Hillsborough firefighting community.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A large brush fire broke out on Saturday afternoon in Hillsborough.
On Dec. 7 at 12:51 p.m., the Hillsborough Police Department went to 440 Long Hill Road for the report of a brush fire.
Police found a brush fire that was spreading away from the home and into the backyard and open wooded area, said Hillsborough Police Sgt. Philip Wolff.

Hillsborough Township Fire Department arrived and effectively controlled and extinguished the large brush fire, said Wolff.
There were no injuries reported.

The fire is not considered to be suspicious but remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Police Department and the Hillsborough Township Bureau of Fire Safety, said Wolff.
