State Of Emergency Declared For Hillsborough, Stay Off Roads
Residents are reminded not to park vehicles on snow-covered roadways.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A state of emergency has been declared in Hillsborough due to the snowstorm.
Residents are reminded not to park vehicles on snow-covered roadways. Vehicles parked on roadways significantly impact DPW from clearing snow-covered roadways.
"Please avoid all travel unless absolutely necessary. Road conditions will be hazardous," said Hillsborough Police.

A number of closures were also announced for Sunday and Monday in the area.
All Somerset County Library System of New Jersey branches are closed on Sunday.

Raritan Valley Community College will be closed on Monday.
A Blizzard Warning was issued for Hillsborough as a snowstorm is expected to dump between 18 to 24 inches of snow from Sunday into Monday.

Here is a look at the upcoming forecast:
Sunday Afternoon: Snow, possibly mixed with rain, becoming all snow after 4pm. High near 37. Northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Sunday Night: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Areas of blowing snow after midnight. Low around 29. Blustery, with a northeast wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible.
Monday: Snow, mainly before 1 p.m. The snow could be heavy at times. Areas of blowing snow before 10 a.m. High near 35. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Monday Night: Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 20. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
