'Cake Boss' Admits Drunken Driving, Says 'I'm Disappointed in Myself'

Reality TV star Buddy Valastro has license suspended for three months.

Less than three weeks after being stopped in New York City for swerving in and out of lanes, and subsequently being charged with driving while intoxicated, Buddy Valastro, better known as the ‘Cake Boss’, pleaded guilty in court Monday.

Valastro will have his license suspended for three months and be fined approximately $300 for committing the violation, according to nj.com.

Valastro was driving a 2014 yellow Corvette when police found him weaving through traffic while heading north between 20th and 32nd streets in the early morning hours of Nov. 13. When police asked the reality television star and business owner to step out of the vehicle, he was “unsteady on his feet,” and his “face was flushed and his eyes were bloodshot,” reports said.

A failed breathalyzer test showed Valastro had a 0.08 blood alcohol level at the time of the stop. In a video captured Monday by the Daily News of the reality television baker leaving the courthouse, Valastro said one drink is too many, and that he is “very disappointed” in himself. He also said his fans showed plenty of support over the past few weeks, while other were outraged.
