Car Crashes Into Hudson County School, Students Get Unexpected Day Off: Report

Jersey City, NJ – Students at BelovED Charter School in Jersey City got an unexpected day off Monday after a car crashed into the Grand Street building.

A white SUV collided with the building around 4 a.m. and burst into flames, which the school’s sprinkler system extinguished, NJ.com reported.

According to police radio transmissions, the driver may have passed out prior to the accident, NJ.com stated.

The crash caused some damage to the school’s building, which caused administrators to cancel classes on Monday.
