Flood Warning Issued For Hudson County
Parts of Jersey City and Bayonne will experience flooding on Monday, the NWS said.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — After an extremely dry summer — including Hudson County missing out on storms that passed just to the north earlier this month — the National Weather Service says parts of the county will get heavy rain and flooding Monday afternoon.
A flash flood warning has been issued for Hudson County until 5:45 p.m. due to storms moving through the area.
"Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Jersey City, Elizabeth, Bayonne, Linden, Todt Hill, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Port Richmond, Clark, Union, Tompkinsville, Battery Park, Westfield, Rahway, Cranford, Hillside, Roselle, Roselle Park, Kenilworth, Mountainside and Garwood," said the NWS. The forecast called for up to a quarter of an inch of rain Monday morning, another quarter to half an inch after 8 a.m., and possibly up to another quarter of an inch at night, for a total of up to 1 inch.
For comparison, the deadly Tropical Depression Ida last Sept. 1 dumped more than 7 inches of rain in a short time on parts of North Jersey, leaving corners flooded in Hudson County for two days.
