Hoboken Man Beaten During ‘Suspected Drug Deal Gone Bad’: Police
Hoboken police arrested 7 Hudson County residents last week in connection with a robbery and "suspected drug deal gone bad."

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police arrested seven Hudson County residents last week in connection with a robbery and “suspected drug deal gone bad,” authorities said.
According to the Hoboken Police Department, the arrests took place after detectives started an investigation into a robbery that took place in the Hoboken Housing Authority on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 19.
That day, a trio of Hoboken officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Jackson Street after receiving a report of a male victim bleeding from the head. On arrival, the officers were told that the injured man had left the area.

Police found him a short distance from the scene bleeding from the nose and with swelling on his face. The officers requested immediate medical assistance for the injured man, who told officers that he was robbed and gave a description of his alleged attackers before emergency personnel transported him to Hoboken University Medical Center, authorities said.
The victim suffered injuries that included a fractured jaw and a fractured orbital socket. He also lost a cellular phone, basketball sneakers and cash during the robbery, police said.

According to Hoboken Police Department, members of its Investigation Bureau immediately began to canvas the area for possible leads and spoke with several residents who may have possibly been in the area during the incident.
On Thursday, detectives were able to identify suspects in the alleged robbery and assault, and officers from the Uniform Bureau - along with members of the Investigation Bureau – started a search in the Hoboken Housing area.
Police eventually made seven arrests in connection with the incident and charged the suspects with multiple offenses, including some additional charges for possessions allegedly found during their arrests:
- Luis Williams, 21, of Jersey City - Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Possession of CDS Marijuana, Possession of CDS Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS Marijuana in a School Zone, Possession of CDS Marijuana within 500 Feet Public Housing, Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Weapon while committing CDS offense, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
- Julian Braxton, 22, of Hoboken - Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Possession of CDS Marijuana, Possession of CDS Marijuana with Intent to Distribute within 500 feet Public Housing, Possession of CDS Marijuana within 1000 feet of school, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia
- William Agosto, 25, of Hoboken - Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery
- Joseph Crandell, 24, of Hoboken - Aggravated Assault, Possession of CDS Marijuana over 1 ounce, Possession of CDS Marijuana with intent to distribute within 500 feet of Public Housing, Possession of CDS Marijuana within 1000 feet School zone, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia
- Taquana Dixon, 24, of Hoboken - Aggravated Assault, Possession of CDS Marijuana under 50grams, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia
- Frank Henderson, 21, of Hoboken - Aggravated Assault
- Angelo Roldan, 18, of Hoboken - Aggravated Assault
