Hoboken Police Seek 4 Men After Robbery (PHOTOS)

Four men allegedly robbed a victim in Hoboken, taking his wallet and sneakers and fleeing towards Jersey City, police said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police are searching for four men who are “persons of interest” in a robbery that took place near 4th and Monroe streets last week, authorities announced Thursday.

According to the Hoboken Police Department, on April 27, four men allegedly approached and surrounded a male victim. The men struck the victim and threw him to the ground, then fled the scene with his wallet and sneakers.

Police said that the robbery suspects were seen fleeing west on 4th Street and later towards Jersey City.

The victim didn’t suffer any serious injuries during the encounter. He was given medical attention on the scene and released, police said.

Hoboken police released a surveillance photo of men seen inside the 7-Eleven at 422 Washington Street about an hour before the robbery took place. (See below)

“They matched the description given and are believed to be the same males involved in the incident,” Hoboken police stated. “Anyone with information as to the identity of this individual is asked to contact Det. Adam Colon from the Investigative Bureau at colona@hobokenpd.org or 201-420-5102.”
