Local bands, youth performers, and community groups from Hoboken and Hudson County will share the spotlight with touring indie-pop duo Cherokee Social, while residents enjoy activities at Sinatra Park and Pier A.

Hoboken High School Senior Carolina Fernandez Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist (tapinto.net) — A Hoboken High School senior has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist, marking the third straight year a Redwing has earned this elite academic honor. Carolina Fernandez credits Hoboken teachers and staff for their support and hopes to inspire younger students as she competes for finalist status and prepares for college with plans to study political science.
   

3. Hoboken Opens 60 Temporary Parking Spaces in North End as Infrastructure Improvements Continue (tapinto.net) — Sixty new temporary parking spaces have opened on 15th Street between Willow and Park in Hoboken's North End, offering hourly and monthly options while major road and redevelopment work continues. City officials say the lot is meant to ease parking headaches for nearby businesses and customers as 31 blocks are resurfaced and a long-term municipal garage, new housing, retail, and open space are built out over coming years.
   

4. AI-Guided Allergy Treatments (trendhunter.com) — Families in Hoboken will soon have local access to the Food Allergy Institute's AI-guided Tolerance Induction Program, eliminating the need to travel to California for this specialized care. The new East Coast clinic aims to help patients build long-term tolerance to food allergens using personalized, data-driven treatment plans, while also expanding regional access through insurance coordination and local outreach.
   

5. House Panel Debates Sanctuary Policies and Public Safety (legis1.com) — Hoboken is one of four New Jersey cities the Justice Department sued in 2025 over limits on cooperation with federal immigration enforcement, a case later dismissed on standing grounds. That dispute is now part of a broader House debate over sanctuary policies, public safety, and a proposed federal law that could tighten requirements on how local governments work with immigration authorities.
