Jersey City Restaurant Closes After 25 Years, To Be Replaced By Cannabis Dispensary

"Thank you customers for a 25-year ride," said the Jersey City restaurant, which will be replaced by a cannabis dispensary.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — One set of doors is closing, but they will soon open again — for a new purpose.

On Friday, the Hard Grove Cafe in downtown Jersey City announced on social media that after 25 years, it would close with a farewell party on Sunday.

The Cuban restaurant was a popular mainstay on First Street.

"Thank you for always being there," wrote a fan on social media, "not only for entertaining but for sponsoring many organizations along the way."

But the location won't be closed forever. Jersey Digs reported on Monday that a cannabis dispensary, Cream Dispensary, will be coming in.
