What Will Artie Lange Do? One Starbucks In Hoboken Will Close For A Month
Comedian Artie Lange's favorite Starbucks shop, one of 3 in Hoboken, will close in February for renovations for a month.

HOBOKEN, NJ — After intermittent closures in the last year, a Starbucks in Hoboken will shut next month for renovations, according to signs posted in the store last week.
The Starbucks at 12th and Hudson streets gained minor fame in 2021 when comedian Artie Lange mentioned it as part of his recovery from drug addiction. Lange, who grew up in Union, now lives in Hoboken.
In October 2021, the former Howard Stern Show regular posted a photo of himself on Twitter near the store with his favorite drink, a a caramel macchiato, and wearing a DRUG FREE bracelet. READ MORE: Artie Lange Steps Out 'Drug Free' At Hoboken Starbucks

Customers have had to contend with a few closures recently when the establishment attended to various issues, including COVID precautions.
Signs around the store last week said that the store will close from Feb. 13 to March 13 for renovations.
"We can't wait to see you in March for our reopening with a new look," the signs said.

For now, the store remains open.
But comedians and others don't have to throw away their shot ... of caffeine. Hoboken has two other Starbucks locations — at 314 Washington St., and at 51 Newark St. There are also more than a dozen locally owned coffee shops in town.
Meawhile, Lange said last year that he completed his drug treatment program. When he was arrested in Hoboken for drug possession in 2017, he had kind words for local police:
FYI The Hoboken Cops treated me so great. Great people. Professional. I thank them for that Now a lawyer tells me what to do!
