Holmdel Awarded 50K Local Recreational Improvement Grant

The Holmdel Township Committee has been awarded a new grant, which will be dispersed to the Holmdel Swim Club.

HOLMDEL, NJ — The members of the Holmdel Township Committee announced on Tuesday that the Township has been awarded with a $50,000 grant.

This grant, which was given by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, is planned to help upgrade the Holmdel swim club. Holmdel Mayor Greg Buontempo said in a press release, “We look forward to making changes to the Swim Club which will enable it to be a more inclusive community complex.”

According to the grant application, the funds will be applied toward both engineering and design improvements at the swim club. In a press statement Committeewoman Cathy Weber said, “The Township has put a great deal of time and thought into the proposed upgrades and this grant is one step toward significant enhancements at this important facility.”

“My colleagues on the Township Committee and I are grateful to the Holmdel staff and professionals who worked to apply for this funding opportunity,” Mayor Greg Buontempo said.
