JCP&L Moving Into The Bell Works Site In Holmdel

JCP&L, which has caused some controversy in the area recently, will be leaving their Red Bank office sometime next year.

HOLMDEL, NJ-- JCP&L announced Thursday that they will be moving their central New Jersey regional headquarters into the Bell Works site in Holmdel.

They'll leave their current Red Bank building sometime next year to begin a 10-year lease in Holmdel.

"This move keeps our jobs, tax dollars, and ancillary support services in Monmouth County," Jim Fakult, JCP&L president, said in a statement. "After reviewing multiple locations, the Bell Works site best met our needs with its proximity to our current headquarters and accessibility to the Garden State Parkway. The new location offers the modern office space needed to help our employees perform their jobs at a high level on behalf of our customers."

This office will oversee customers in Burlington, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean counties.

JCP&L has come under fire in Monmouth county recently for their Monmouth County Reliability Project, which would build a 10-mile stretch of 140 feet tall power lines. JCP&L says they're necessary to ensure consistent energy to the area, but community group RAGE says they'll cause health problems and decrease property values.
