61 Motorists Chose 'Ticket' Over 'Click It'
12-day seatbelt violation crackdown brings in more than just summonses.

A two-week crackdown on seatbelt violations yielded much more than just a handful of summonses in Hopatcong, as 61 motorists were ticketed for not wearing safety belts.
According to the Hopatcong Police Department, in addition to the 61 Click It or Ticket violations between May 20 and June 2, 30 more summonses were issued for non-moving violations.
A spate of other charges were issued during the time frame as well.

- Speeding summons: 4
- Drug Arrests: 1
- Felony Arrest: 1
- Fugitives Apprehended (warrant arrests): 10
- Driving Without Insurance summonses: 2
Click It or Ticket was a nationwide campaign lasting 12 days in 2013, where local police departments were granted funding to enhance patrol and set up checkpoints within their jurisdictions.
