I was well enough to make it to St. Judes this Ash Wednesday; it felt great to be out and among so many wonderful people. Thank you all for your support and well wishes.
Several people brought to my attention that Mara Modes was in attendance to receive ashes. It was mentioned that she has been a long time opponent of Christianity and especially the Catholic Church.
I assume they mentioned this to me because we ran for the same political seat this past year. My friends she is not my enemy, she was my opponent in a political competition, being allies in Christ is much more important. She being opposed to Christian belief in the past, makes St. Jude’s exactly where she needs to be.

What I would like to say to Mara is, welcome to st. Judes. The Holy Spirit works in mysterious ways, and I for one was happy to see you there, Praise God.
I am a Christian first, to me that means being loving, merciful, accepting, and forgiving. On many occasions I have experienced Christian love, mercy and forgiveness. I was up lifted and filled with joy, so I hope I could be the source of that kind of Christian love to others.

When you see Mara Modes in church, say hello and welcome her and any new person to our beautiful little church in the woods.
God Bless America.
